Goober was packed in a sack with many other peanuts. All the sacks were placed in a big red truck with a picture of peanuts on the side.
As Goober traveled with the other peanuts, he wondered, “What am I? What is a peanut?”
“Am I part pea and part nut?” he asked himself. It really wasn’t clear.

Dakota is enjoying the day with her lovely horses. Thunder is a Paint horse that is a registered Tennessee Walker. He is a mix of black and white colors. His head and body are black, his neck is white, his front legs are mostly white, his back legs are mostly black, and his tail is a mix of black and white. Dakota has another black horse named Lightning who is a Missouri Fox Trotter. Lightning has a little streak of white on his back that looks just like a lightning bolt. That is why she named him Lightning. He looks like he is wearing white socks because his lower legs are white.
Dakota lives in a beautiful log cabin by Sardis Lake in the Kiamichi Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma. She loves her two gorgeous horses, and rides them all the time on the mountain trails.
She also has a sweet black and white dog that is an Australian Shepherd named Oreo. Australian Shepherds are called Aussies for short. She named him Oreo because half of his face is black and the other half is white. He is very pretty, and some of the fur around his neck is long and fluffy.
Dakota always takes Oreo with her when she goes riding on the trails. Sometimes a friend will go with her and ride Dakota's other horse. They love to go exploring and hiking in the mountains. One time while they were exploring Dakota found a very old arrowhead. Arrowheads were used by the Indians hundreds of years ago! She was so excited to find that arrowhead.
Oklahoma is Indian Territory. There is a Choctaw Indian Festival in Tuskahoma that Dakota goes to every year. She always has so much fun at the festival. There are rides and games for the children. The best part of the festival is watching the Choctaw Indians perform for everyone wearing their beautiful native clothes made with beads and feathers. They sing and dance while playing drums, flutes and other musical instruments. It is amazing to watch, and they are so talented. They also have famous singers and bands that come and perform for everyone.
There is lots of wildlife in the area around Dakota's cabin. One day she woke up and saw a bunch of wild geese in the snow across from her house. She watched them for sometime and took a photograph of them.
Oreo had so much fun playing in the snow with the ice balls. He loved the snow. Thunder and Lightning didn't seem to mind the snow either. They would stay out in the snow rather than go into the barn. The snow was beautiful and turned Dakota's place into a winter wonderland.
Another time she looked over by the lake and saw a group of wild deer playing in the grass. She watched the wild deer for a while, and then she took photographs of them. Dakota thought it was so awesome to be able to watch all that wildlife every day. She enjoyed the mountains, because she grew up living there. Even as a child she always had horses.
Dakota's sister Paige came to visit and brought her daughter, Bindi. Dakota had two snowmobiles. She took Bindi for a ride on her snowmobile. Paige rode the other snowmobile. They had a blast riding the snowmobiles that day all around the lake.
When they returned home, Dakota hooked up a sleigh to Thunder and took Bindi for a sleigh ride in the snow. She laughed and laughed while Thunder pulled her all around the lake on the sleigh. She had so much fun and hugged Thunder when they stopped. Then she started petting Thunder on his head and neck to thank him for the ride. He is a very sweet and gentle horse.
Later that same day, Dakota took Bindi for a spin around the lake in her little dune buggy. Bindi loved riding in the dune buggy and thought it was fun.
That evening, Dakota started a huge bonfire. Everyone gathered around the bonfire and told scary stories about the woods. Then they roasted sausage links and marshmallows over the bonfire. Paige and Bindi spent the night with Dakota.
Dakota also had two four-wheelers. She loved to go riding in the mountains on her four-wheeler. The next day they all went riding through the mountains on the four-wheelers. They had an amazing day exploring the beautiful mountains. They were heading home when Dakota saw a huge brown dog stuck in a large crate that was turned over on the side of the road in the woods. She stopped her four-wheeler and got out. It was a Mastiff and it was very friendly. She tied the Mastiff to her four-wheeler with a rope and took it home with her. He was gigantic! He looked like a small horse! Dakota named her new friend Hulk. She thought he was awesome and fell in love with him.

Once upon a time, there was a very tiny princess who lived in a very large castle under the sea. She lived on one side of the castle and her brother, the very tiny noble knight, lived on the other side. Both Chance and Harmony were too afraid to go to sleep for fear of invaders.
“Let's have a sleepover,” Harmony suggested. The tiny princess and the tiny noble knight decided to invite all of their friends over to the very large castle so that they could feel safe and get some sleep. Their friends were Pinkie the Whale, Gray Boy the Dolphin, Octess the Octopus, Lizzie the Lizard, Sharkie the Shark and King Greenie the Frog.
“How will we tell them? We don’t have a phone because a whale knocked down a power line,” asked Chance, the tiny noble knight.
“We'll just have to go to each one and tell them about our sleepover,” suggested Harmony, the tiny princess. They decided to wait until the next morning to get an early start.
“What will we do until then?” asked Chance, the tiny noble knight.
“Let's bake some cookies, pies and cakes,” the tiny princess suggested.
“And then what?” her brother asked.
“That's not going to take all night. We are inviting six friends over,” explained the tiny princess. “We can prepare six of our finest rooms in the castle so that each one will have his or her own room. We'll have to make a special bed for Octess because she has eight arms and needs a lot of room to sleep.”
“And then what?” he repeated.
“Must I think of everything?” shouted Harmony, the tiny princess. Then she stomped off through the castle.
“Girls!” mumbled the tiny noble knight.
“Boys!” mumbled the tiny princess. Yet, they worked together all night getting the castle ready for their undersea sleepover.
While Dr. Psych sat and waited for his next patient, Tac realized it was time to have a little therapy session himself.
“Dr. Psych?” Tac called out.
Dr. Psych looked around the office, but didn’t see anyone.
“Down here.” Dr. Psych looked at the aluminum can sitting on his desk.
“My name is, Tac.” Dr. Psych jumped up and locked the door. It just wouldn’t look right for a Psychologist to be talking to a can.
“What’s the problem Tac?”
“My life.” he sobbed.
“Tell me about it,” he suggested.
He shivered at the thought of having to recall his past. He gazed longingly out the window.
“Well… it all started when I was born from Mama Bauxite.
This is the text of the first story called 'Molly the Mole'. This is a picture book and the text on its own is not having the same impact.
Do you like cats? Yes? I am glad because I am a black cat with a white top hat. My name is Oliver. I am very elegant and have the shiniest coat in the world. I brush my fur every morning and always keep my nails trimmed! Of course, my hat is really refined, too, which is another word for elegant.
Whenever you put on your new clothes, you can announce to everybody, "I am refined!" They will think you are an elegant person. Well, enough of all that talk about me, although I can never talk too much about myself. I really do think I am a cool cat. Do you think this is wrong? You are probably right, but I can't help it.
My best friend’s name is Jumpy. You guessed it! She likes to jump a lot because she is a kangaroo! She is a great girl and lets me ride in her pouch! I get in, and Jumpy jumps away and away!! That’s a lot of fun. I bet you would like to ride in her pouch, too, wouldn't you? You are probably a bit too big though. I am quite small, so it is OK. I love it, but after a while I need to rest. All that up and down makes me dizzy. It's like being on a roller coaster.
One day I was in Jumpy's pouch, happily hopping through the fields. It was a very sunny day, and I wore my white hat and funky sunglasses. The sun is beautiful, but too much of it burns your skin! My fur coat protects me though.
We were hopping across the fields, when Jumpy stopped suddenly. It was so unexpected that I fell out of her pouch, and bounced down on the ground.
Amazingly, I fell very softly, but that softness screamed loudly! I had fallen on a mole.
Moles are creatures that live in the ground and love to dig tunnels. They are much smaller than cats. Sometimes, they come out of their holes. Moles are blind because they do not need eyes below ground. That’s why she didn’t notice Jumpy coming. Jumpy only saw her at the last second and had to make an emergency stop. I was saved, but the mole appeared quite unhappy about the disturbance.
After I stopped turning around and around, because I was still dizzy from the jumping, I apologized to Molly the mole. She recovered quickly and was not really hurt. Then she even became friendly with us. "I have just made lunch," she said. "Why don't you join me? I have the tastiest worms and bugs. Would you like some?"
You see, that’s what moles eat. A kangaroo prefers grass. I find the occasional bug quite tasty, but I don't fancy slimy rainworms. Jumpy made an excuse not to accept the offer. "Thank you very much, but we are watching our diet!"
Molly was not unhappy, though, since she could now eat everything herself. "Come and visit me again but without any accidents next time! I think you are a very elegant cat and a very jumpy kangaroo. I like you guys. Of course, I am a lady myself and eat only the best bugs!"
I am 5,000 years old, and I cannot wait for someone to find me and finally set me free. My name is Ammon, and I am a genie. I am trapped in my lamp and buried deep in the sand somewhere in the desert of Egypt.
Wait just a minute. I hear someone digging nearby. Maybe they will find me! I hope they are nice. I want a nice master this time. My last master was a very mean old man. I did not like him at all. He was the one that trapped me in my lamp and buried me in the sand! He became angry with me because I would not do something bad that he wanted. Someone is picking up my lamp now. They have found me! They are opening the lid to my lamp, and I am free at last! It is a young girl who has found me. She was very shocked when I came floating out of my lamp in a puff of red smoke. I told her that I was a genie, and she was my new master. She was very excited because she knew that genies could grant wishes. She could not believe that she found a genie lamp. She said she thought I was a very cute genie too.
I told her my name was Ammon. Ammon is an Egyptian name that means "unseen" or "hidden." She told me her name was Nile, and it is also an Egyptian name that means "from the Nile." She also told me that she decided to dig around in the sand that afternoon by her house. She said she loved to dig in the sand because she would always find old things there. One day she found an old gold coin! She told me that this was the best thing she had ever found while living in Egypt. She said she was born in Egypt, and she was ten years old. She said her mother was from The United States and was born in Texas. She was amazed when I told her that I was 5,000 years old! All genies live to be one million years old! I asked her what year it was. When she told me what year it was, I realized I had been buried in the sand for almost 100 years!
She told me that her first wish was to ride a camel. She had always wanted to ride a camel since she was a little girl. POOF! I granted her first wish, and suddenly a camel appeared out of a huge puff of white smoke! I took her riding on the camel all around the pyramids of Egypt. We had so much fun that day. I told her that I would grant her one wish every day.
Later that day, she told me to get back into my lamp so she could bring me home with her. She said she would have to hide me from her mother. I did not want to get back into my lamp so soon, but I did. She took me to her house. She was a beautiful young girl and very sweet. I was very happy to have such a nice master this time.
Nile hid me in her room that night. She was so excited that she could hardly sleep. She knew that the fun was about to begin. I slept in my lamp. I told her that I could make myself invisible if I ever heard her mother coming into her room when I was out of my lamp. She was glad to hear that. She didn't want her mother finding me. She knew her mother would never believe that I was a genie. She said we would have to be very careful.
Nile told me that she was afraid it had just been a dream. She was so glad to see me there when she woke up the next morning. That day, Nile took me with her when she left her house. I asked her what her second wish was for the day. She told me that she wanted to go exploring inside a tomb. POOF! After a huge puff of white smoke, we were inside a tomb! We went exploring all through the old tomb. We saw a bunch of gold treasures placed all around the tomb. Everything in the tomb was hundreds of years old. We had another great day. My new master was so much fun to be around. I told her that I would always protect her too.
