Bio

I’ve seen things. I’ve gone places. I’ve done stuff.
I try very hard not to get caught.

Novelist, Reviewer, Content/Concept Editor, Blogger, T-shirt Wearer, and Professional Snacker; I am a native Baltimorean and a veteran West Virginian whose family is blended from three distinct cultures. I began as a poor kid with a heart condition who was not expected to live past the age of three. (I sure showed them.) While self-teaching my way through a failed school system, I served as a lookout for prostitutes, errand girl for drug dealers, and file clerk for boosters. This developed in me a love for all things Disney. (Interestingly, I was never inclined to do drugs or anything illegal.)

In addition to penning eight novels and three short stories, I am an Ordained Deaconess, married to a Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Truck-Driver/Priest. He holds my hand as we run into trouble headfirst. We have an amazing daughter, a wonderful Son-in-law, and an absolutely perfect grandson. (In case you were wondering, being a grandma is the best job in the world.)

I also paint, draw, and spend way too much time watching Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, The Phantom of the Opera, and Beauty and the Beast. (Clearly, I have a thing for monsters.)

Over the years, I have opened my home to foster children, drug addicts, AIDS victims and anyone who needed an assist. I have an equal number of conservative and liberal friends. I know people who have committed murder and people who have dined with the Pope.

Which is why I write sweet stories about tough love…and take a lot of naps.

My published works include:

KAYOS: The Bad & The Worse
The Right Way To Be Wrong
The Tiger & The Snake - a KAYOS short story tie-in (Dec 17)
Civil Warriors (2nd edition 2018)
