Patricia Stoner

Patricia Feinberg Stoner is a British writer: a former journalist, advertising copywriter and publicist.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin she joined a local newspaper, The Liverpool Daily Post, as a trainee. Quickly discovering she was a terrible reporter, she switched to feature writing and since then her career has revolved around the written word.
A short, unhappy spell as a recruitment advertising copywriter for the then Benton & Bowles agency prompted an Ogden Nash-inspired rant on the subject of clients, and she quickly left to join Granada Television (‘Brideshead Revisited’, ‘The Jewel in the Crown’) as international press officer. After eleven years she left Granada to set up her own publicity business, The Good Word.

She now devotes her time to writing short stories and poetry (mainly humorous verse) which have been published in various print and online anthologies. Subscribers to Wordhaus, WritersBillboard and Everyday Fiction will have read some of her short stories, which include The Last Hatchling, Against All Odds and Sunset.

Patricia’s first book, ‘Paw Prints in the Butter’, is a collection of comic verses about cats, with the profits going to the local animal charity for which she volunteers.
She is a member of West Sussex Writers and the leader of the creative writing group Arun Scribes, a lively collection of novelists, short story writers and essayists. All visitors are welcome to the Arun Scribes Facebook page and, for a flavour of what they are writing, their blog:

Patricia lives in West Sussex, on the south coast of England, with her husband Patrick, who is currently working on book four of the science fiction series ‘The Jabberwock Continuum’.
In April 2017, along with three other West Sussex writers, she is launching her second book, ‘At Home in the Pays d’Oc’. It is the story of how she and her husband became accidental ex-pats in the south of France for four years, after they were adopted by a small brown and white dog.

She is delighted to welcome visitors to her Facebook page, Paw Prints in the Butter, and to her blog Twitter addicts may occasionally find her @perdisma.

I've always written, ever since I can remember. My first job was as a reporter with the Liverpool Daily Post (in UK) - and I was terrible! As soon as possible I switched to feature writing and, when inspiration struck, to comic verse.
