When I started to read this amazing true story, you could relate to Rick with a dysfunctional family no dad in his life. He always had hope that he would have a relationship with his dad. Rick put his feelings in this story it was sad, and the way he loved his grandson was so beautiful. Read Rick’s journey of his life you won’t be able to put your kindle or book down. Rick also wrote beautiful poetry in the book that you will fall in love with so breathtaking.

I started reading this book today, and was immediately drawn into the warm writing style. I couldn't put the book down. I had to finish it.

Rick writes from experience. He writes well and his words form emotions and pictures in your mind. He writes in a clear, conversational style that draws the reader into the story. He describes his experiences so that you feel as if you experience it with him.

Rick's story is masterfully created as two stories in one: Him as a child, and experiencing his grandson and his love for him. He tells of his childhood that created the illusion that he is not loved, and not wanted, and how this illusion shaped his life until he was able to see through the lies and start living his reality. Through these stories he shows how anyone can overcome feelings of worthlessness and despair. If you feel unwanted and unloved, and especially if you don't think you're worth loving, you need to read this book to see how Rick overcame those feelings and how you can too.

Thanks, Rick, for a great read.
