What inspired you to write?
My parents took me to see the movie The Empire Strikes Back as a child and let's just say I haven't been the same since. Ever since that day, I felt compelled to create my own stories and developed a love for it. So I guess it was film that inspired me to want to write. I taught myself how to write screenplays when I was still in high school because I wanted write for the film industry. Somehow I wound up writing novels years later.

Was your inspiration sudden, or did it take time?
My inspiration took time as it took many different forms over the years. From screenplays, to poetry and songs to novels.

Did you use an outline, or just write your story from start to finish?
I usually outline how I want each scene of my novels to appear in the story because it help keep the flow going and does not allow for writers block to set in.

Do you work alone, or get encouragement from family and friends?
I have always worked alone until a few months ago when my boyfriend (An Author) and I realized that we love writing together. We are both coauthoring a novel that is currently in the works.

What was the most difficult part of writing your book?
The most difficult part of writing my book was the scenes of abuse between Stella, Russ and Allison. I had never experienced that kind of brutality and had to put myself in the room with them as I wrote it. I had to feel what Stella was feeling and what Allison was feeling when she had to witness it and endure it herself. What came out was the final product.

What was the most enjoyable aspect of writing your book?
The most enjoyable aspect was when the fact that this story pretty much wrote itself. It took me three months which was the fastest I had ever written a novel in my life. Since then it's been hard to recapture that kind of magic.

After the book was published, were you changed?
Yes because it was the first book that showcased my most recent writing style especially after almost giving up writing altogether. Since publishing the Blood Oath I have gotten further in touch with myself as an Author and have rededicated myself to wanting to keep growing as an Author.

Have you received any awards for your book(s)?
No not at this time but that is okay because knowing people read it and enjoyed it is my reward.

Are you working on a new book at the moment?
Yes I am working on two novels. One is being written with my boyfriend Ronald Hall titled The Overture of Darkness and the other is a solo project that I just started on called The Sacrifice.

Do you have any book giveaways, contests or events coming up?
No not at this time but stay tuned.

What gets in the way of your creativity?
I suffer from Depression and sometimes it tends to get in the way of my creativity.

What strategies do you use to deal with criticism?
I try to use criticism as a learning tool to do better next time. Yes criticism can hurt when you've worked hard on a project and put your heart and soul into it but think of it this way...you can only get better with time and effort.

What is your favorite/worst childhood memory?
