Hey there and happy Sunday to you. It’s been a rough start to the new year for me filled with changes at work, people I love falling ill, terrible weather and trying to get the first draft of my book completed. I am glad the month of January is coming to a close. Currently, I am taking a break from working on my book and plan to begin the editing process next week. Lately, I have been working on a screenplay called “Game Over” that I started a few months back. The idea just kind of came to me suddenly and I’ve been putting it off long enough.
My real love is novel writing and even though I just finished the book last week, I already miss it. I miss my characters and yes, I get attached to them. Writers are like gods in a sense. We create people and manipulate their lives the way we see fit. We create worlds and situations, living or undead. And we love our characters the way we love real people. It’s a strange feeling but it’s also a great feeling. To have this power that can pull the reader in and make them feel different emotions is astounding. And I wouldn’t give it up for anything in the world.
Game Over is a crime thriller with lots of action. It will be the first screenplay I have ever written that I plan to get made into a feature film. I don’t know what’s going to become of it but wish me luck. I believe that anything is possible with lots of hard work and dedication. I want to admit something to you, I don’t always feel confident about what I write and sometimes I think it is utter garbage, but I can’t stop.
