This column is dedicated to one of the highest art forms in the sphere of human communication—Poetry. Nothing is nobler than the expression of human emotion. All poetry is perfect, no matter what the format or the background of the poet. A voice is a voice. With poetry, you get more than words. You get rhythm, you get sound, you get silence, you get mood—you get emotion. What more can you ask? This column is also dedicated to all the people who have ever lived, those here now, and those yet to come. God bless the poets among you. They carry the soul of the world.

Dancing

Dancing - Holding your partner in your arms while you move to the music creates a cocoon of intimacy. No matter what your age, if a spark connects two people, the dance is a prelude to love.

As we danced, she twirled, returning to my arms,

I could feel only the music and her closeness,

An intoxicating presence that created an island in time and place,

The sweetness of her spirit drew me to her

The satisfaction of her touch made me stay,

Though youth had long gone for us both,

When I gazed into the eyes of this woman,

I could see the radiant face of a girl smiling back.
